The World’s Coolest Winter Photography Competition, organized by Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA), in collaboration with ‘Canon’, ‘Nikon’, ‘Huawei’ and ‘Grand Stores’, announced the 13 winners of the competition and their photographic works. The results of the second season reflected immeasurable creativities of our photography community from India; winning 6 places, followed by the Philippines; winning 3 places, while the Arabic community was resonated by 2 winning places from the Syrian Arab Republic, and the list was completed by 1 winner from Germany and another winner from Pakistan.

The competition’s main category features ‘Winter in the UAE’, encouraging all participants to witness, capture and interpret the UAE’s values for tolerance, coexistence, togetherness and humanity through their photography.

His Excellency Ali Khalifa Bin Thalith, Secretary General of HIPA, said: “The second season of the World’s Coolest Winter Photography competition widely expanded with varied participation in terms of nationalities, ages and levels of artistic skills which supports the growing global reputation of the winter season in the Emirates and the extent of the wonderful experiences it offers to the public, in addition to the natural attractions such as the diversity of the UAE’s topography from deserts, valleys, mountains, seas, wildlife, and others. This competition also highlighted the recreational, cultural and natural attractions as well as various tourism activities in different regions of the Emirates.

Bin Thalith concluded by congratulating the winners, saying: “HIPA Team would like to extend our gratitude and Congratulations to all the winners, and to everyone who participated in the second season of ‘World's Coolest Winter Photography Competition’.

We encourage everyone to continue enjoying the beauty of the UAE’s winter and its various activities and to start planning ahead for its upcoming cooler seasons.”
