In collaboration with the Al Salam Cycling Championship, HIPA is thrilled to announce the launch of the 9TH AL SALAM CHAMPIONSHIP WOMEN RACE PHOTO CONTEST, celebrating the synergy of athletic excellence and artistic expression.

Important Information for Participation

  • All photographers participating in the photography competition are requested to gather at the Al Salam Championship Village, located in the Dubai Endurance City parking area (View location on the map), to attend the briefing session, learn about the race’s starting point, receive all necessary instructions, and obtain the official vehicle sticker.
  • The briefing session will begin at 12:30 PM, and the race will start at exactly 1:30 PM.
  • Photographers’ vehicles must be four-wheel drive due to the desert terrain on both sides of the race track.
  • Photography is allowed only from the side of the road, maintaining a distance of 5 to 10 meters from the racecourse to ensure the safety of the track, race vehicles, and the organizing committee.
  • All photographers must comply with the instructions of Dubai Police and the race’s organizing committee.
  • Use of drones is not permitted during the race.

Rules

  • The competition is open for online submissions only (the Submissions), through the website www.hipa.ae.
  • Submissions will be accepted from 12:00 on 16th February 2025 until 24:00 on 26th February 2025 UAE local time, (i.e. GMT +4). No Submissions made after the closing time will be accepted.
  • Participants must be individuals aged 18 years and over at the time of their Submission.
  • You can submit up to 3 photographs for this competition.
  • Each participant must share some photos on their Instagram account.
  • All submitted photos must be taken during the period of the competition and from Al Salam Championship and not old photos.
  • Use of drones is not permitted during the race.
  • Submitted photos must have an original file in Raw or JPEG format, with high quality and resolution, of a minimum 5 MB in size. The minimum of the longest edge should be no less than 2000 pixels, and the quality no less than 300dpi to be suitable for publication.
  • The submitted photo must not contain any tag(s), signature(s), initial(s), frame, border(s), logo(s) or any other references and/or marks added by the participant.
  • Basic technical editing of the photo is acceptable, provided that any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the photo.
  • Al Salam Championship Service and HIPA reserves the right to assess and discard from the competition any submitted photo deemed contrary to the foregoing.
  • Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including nudity, violence, and/or any other content deemed to be contrary to the UAE religious, cultural, and/or public morals traditions and practices will be disqualified.
